Ocean King Catamaran Tour
A catamaran tour is a great way to take in the views along Manuel Antonio’s scenic coastline.
There are several catamaran tours in Manuel Antonio. This option is on a bigger, fully equipped, 100-foot catamaran. It has both an upper and lower deck, two Jacuzzis, a full bar, and waterslides off the back. It’s kind of a booze cruise with music and drinks, but attracts all kinds of different people, including families.
The views from the water of the rainforest-filled coastline are gorgeous, and they also take you to see the marine portion of Manuel Antonio National Park. Keep an eye out for seabirds like the Brown Booby and Magnificent Frigatebird, plus dolphins and humpback whales in season (approx. July-February).
For about an hour, the boat anchors in a calm bay (Biesanz Beach), and you can snorkel, use the waterslides, or if you’re daring, jump off the top deck.
Snorkeling isn’t the main draw here as visibility around Manuel Antonio isn’t always the best, but you can usually see a good amount of fish near the rocks. It’s also just fun to swim in the warm, tropical water and take in the views.
The tour includes either lunch (morning tour) or dinner (afternoon tour). You’ll get to enjoy locally caught fish or chicken, rice, vegetables, and pasta salad. A vegetarian option is available (corn on the cob).
If you’re traveling with kids, this boat is a great option as the lower deck is covered for shade and has good railings for safety.

Tour Details
Cost: $85 per person adults. $65 per person children ages 6-11. Free for children 5 and under. Rates include tax.
Offered Seasonally:
- Afternoon Tour for Sunset (dry season only – approx. December to end of April) – 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Morning Tour (rainy season only – approx. May through November) – 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Duration: 4 hours (approximate)
Includes: Round-trip transportation from hotels and vacation rentals in Manuel Antonio to Marina Pez Vela, light snack (fruit and cookies), lunch or dinner (fish fillet or chicken with passion fruit sauce (optional sauce), white rice, steamed vegetables, cold pasta salad, and tortilla chips),* 4 alcoholic drinks per person, unlimited non-alcoholic drinks, safety equipment, and use of snorkel equipment and water slides.
*Vegetarian Meal: Corn on the cob is also available if requested in advance. Please let us know when making your order.
