Brisa Elegante Sailing Tour
Overview
If you’re looking for a sailing experience in Manuel Antonio, we highly recommend the Brisa Elegante.
This is a 100-foot wooden sailboat with a pirate-ship look, including a plank you can walk and jump off (about 15 feet down into the water). There’s a large open deck and covered lounge area up front, wet bar in back, and cabins below deck.
The tour departs from Marina Pez Vela in Quepos. Transportation to the marina is included for hotels and vacation rentals in Manuel Antonio if you need it.
Once out of the marina, the crew raises the sails (weather permitting) and heads south along the coast, passing the gorgeous rainforest-covered coastline and several offshore islands. Between July and February, you have a chance to see humpback whales. Sea turtles, flying fish, and dolphins are also sometimes spotted.
Snorkeling, Swimming, and Walking the Plank
After about an hour of sailing, the boat anchors in a calm cove to serve the meal and swim and snorkel. Snorkel visibility in Manuel Antonio isn’t always the best, but you can usually see a good amount of fish. Kayaks, a paddleboard, and floating platform are available.
Jumping off the plank is a highlight, especially for kids. Ours loved it!
On afternoon/sunset departures, you’ll be able to catch sunset, which can be incredible.
The meal consists of fresh mahi-mahi or chicken with salad and sides. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available.
We’ve done several catamaran and sailing tours in the Manuel Antonio area, and Brisa Elegante is the most high-end experience.

Cost (2026): $120 per person adults plus 13% tax. $60 per person children ages 6-12 plus 13% tax. Free for children 5 and under.
Offered: Morning tour – 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or Afternoon Tour for Sunset from 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. *Afternoon tours are not recommended from May-November due to the likelihood of rain.
Duration: 4 hours (approximate)
Includes: Round-trip transportation from hotels and vacation rentals in Manuel Antonio to Marina Pez Vela, fresh fruit, lunch or dinner, 1 alcoholic drink per person, unlimited non-alcoholic drinks, coffee, safety equipment, and use of snorkel equipment, kayak, and stand-up paddleboard.
