Hi! I’m planning on going to Drake Bay to work in a Hostel for a month in July. I wanted to know if its safe for a women to travel alone there. I read the safety tips, and it seems like a safe place overall, but since this part of the country is really remote, I just wanted to make sure it is not too dangerous. Thank you.

Hi Giuliaballem,
Yes Drake Bay is remote but it is also a tight knit community with amazingly nice people. Of course, like anywhere in the world you have to be aware of your surroundings and other people but as long as you use caution and listen to the advice of the owners that you are working for, you should be totally fine.
