My girlfriend and I are thinking about visiting CR this september, but we’re both worried about how the rain will kind of bog down our plans. Is there any way we can actually enjoy a nice relaxing vacation with a little adventure sprinkled in during this rainy part of the year? seems like laying at the beach is a no go.

You can definitely enjoy yourself in September and you’ll hardly ever get full days or rain. Check out our post, Why You Should Visit Costa Rica in the Rainy Season for some advice. You might also want to look at our Weather post to get an idea of which areas will have the least rain.
