Hello!
I am planning a post-grad trip to Costa Rica with one of my long time friends. Your website has been so helpful throughout the process! We are planning on staying a while in Manuel Antonio then will be traveling to stay in Samara. I was wondering if you had any suggestions on the best way to travel from Manuel Antonio to Samara?

Hi Hayley,
That’s a tough one. Shared shuttles don’t connect those two places and the public bus would take forever (going from Quepos with bus changes in Puntarenas, then Liberia, then Nicoya, starting at 7:30 am and getting there at almost 5 pm). A rental car or private shuttle might be your best option. The private shuttle would be expensive, around $450, but let us know if you need one, we know a smaller company in Manuel Antonio that might be a little cheaper.
