We are a group of 15 (9 adults + 6 18-yr-old boys). Visiting Manuel Antonio area first week of April, 2018. Would like to do a one-day river rafting experience and have read about several rivers. Is there a specific river or excursion company that you recommend?

Manuel Antonio will be a fun destination with a big group like that! There are a couple of different options for white water rafting. The Savegre River is probably the most popular and offers the best experience for a range of people’s abilities. It has rapids that are generally around Class II-III. There is also the Naranjo River, which has a section that rafting companies use for a more intense experience. If you are trying to please 15 people, I’d say that the Savegre will be challenging and fun enough for the adventure seekers but also mellow enough for those that are a little nervous. The river is really beautiful too and you get to stop at a waterfall for a little while. There are several companies that go out of Manuel Antonio and a lot of them have great reviews.
