Hello!
My husband and I along with our 6 month old will be coming down to Costa Rica for the first time the last week of February.  We’ve decided on the Dominical/Uvita region as were mainly interested in relaxing, beaches, nature/animals and hiking since we’re somewhat limited in the activities we can do having the little guy.  Do you have any general recommendations about travelling with a baby in this area?

We were planning on renting a car in San Jose and driving down.  I’m looking into AirBnB rentals as we would love to have a small cabana or house as home base.  If you have any recommendations for rentals that would be very helpful!

Hi ncasell,
Awesome that you’ll be coming down with your 6 month old. If you haven’t seen it yet, check out our post on Traveling with a Baby in Costa Rica. We give a lot of tips in there about what it is like. We also have a post about what to pack for the little one here. Renting a home base is also a good idea so that you can get comfortable and let your baby get some rest without worrying about cramming into a hotel room. We actually do know of a really good set of vacation rentals in the area that you might like. If you’re still looking for something, just reply to this thread and we will send over some info to the email you used for your username. Hope you have a really nice trip!
