We are travelling to Costa Rica in August and are planning to visit Monteverde, Manuel Antonio & Arenal. After reading your blog we are thinking of the beach…and now wanting to go to Guancaste. Do you think its possible to add Guancaste? Your writing about the beaches there make us want to go!

Hi Trishap,
I think you mentioned that you had 2 weeks of travel time in Costa Rica somewhere? If that is the case you could definitely fit in a Guanacaste destination. Maybe 3 nights La Fortuna/Arenal, 2 nights Monteverde, and split the rest of your time between a Guanacaste beach town and Manuel Antonio. If you just have 1 week here, you would definitely be trying to squeeze in too much and would probably enjoy it more to just stick with three destinations.
