My wife and I have fallen in love with Costa Rica. We have visited twice in the past 12 months and have another trip scheduled in April. We have visited Fortuna, Playa Hermosa, Monte Verde, Manual Antonio, and Drake Bay. This will be our first time to the Caribbean side. We are staying at Banana Azul and would like to renew our wedding vows. We have researched the traditional Costa Rican wedding customs and just want something simple on the beach. We are working with the beverage manager at the resort but were wondering if you could recommend someone local there that could do a simple short beach ceremony? Nothing elaborate but with a Costa Rican Caribbean flare.

Puerto Viejo will be a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony, and Banana Azul is one of our favorite hotels there. I wish we had a recommendation for an officiant to make the day even more special, but we don’t have any ideas unfortunately. We don’t live local there, but the hotel should be able to connect you with someone. If not, you could post on one of the local Facebook groups (there is one called Puerto Viejo Foro Abierto). Best of luck finding someone and wishing you and your wife many more happy years together!
