I’m trying to figure out my travel route for our northward trip after spending time in Osa Peninsula. We leave San Vito on March 29 and need to check in to Tirimbina Lodge on April 1st. I’d like to break up the driving so my kids don’t melt down.
So here is my thinking:
-March 29 – Stay in San Gerardo de Dota (which has a cloud forest) or San Gerardo de Rivas
-March 30 – Manuel Antonio
-March 31 – Somewhere halfway to Tirimbina

Hi Christina,
You may have figured out your plan with the trip coming up but you might want to stay at least 2 nights in either of those locations. For example, you could drive to Manuel Antonio, stay 2 nights, then go up to San Gerardo de Dota, stay 1 night, and drive the rest of the way to Tirimbina the following day. Just an idea.
