Hi,
Do you have a recommendation for a kayaking guide near Manuel Antonio? We will be there from Feb. 20-26. I noticed Amigos del Rio is local–are they good? Do you also have recommendations for guides in the park? BTW we are on Martha’s Vineyard, which makes us fellow New Englanders. You just missed a nice snowstorm!

Hi Libby,
How is the cape? We definitely don’t miss the snow. To answer your question, yes we actually do know a really good tour operator for a kayak (or boat) trip through the Isla Damas mangroves. He is a smaller outfit and focuses on the biology and wildlife of the mangrove ecosystem. It also includes an authentic lunch prepared by his family. Past clients have really enjoyed it. Amigos del Rio also does a similar tour, and yes they are a great company too. If you’d like us to book either one of them for you, or want the full tour descriptions, prices, etc. to compare, just shoot us an email at bookings(at)twoweeksincostarica(dot)com and we’ll take care of it! We can also help with the guide for the park. Keep warm up north!
