Hello,
I have a couple questions that I can’t seem to find the answers for on your extensive sight.
I apologize in advance if you have replied to these questions before.
- Do you have recommendations for lodging near LIR? We have an early departure and will need to stay the night before.
- There are just two of us, are we best off renting a car at LIR to drive to Nasoro for 5 days? I see from your posts that a 4 wheel drive is recommended. Or should we hire a driver. Who would you recommend?

Hi crickarby,
The Hilton Garden Inn is probably the best option if you have an early flight the next day. It is directly across from the airport (5 minute drive) and the nicest option around Liberia. For Nosara, a 4×4 rental is definitely recommended. Depending on where you are staying, things are spread out and you’ll want to explore some of the different beaches, restaurants, etc. Otherwise you’ll kind of be stuck in one little area for the 5 days. Be sure to use our Rental Car Discount if you do get a car. Have fun!
