Is MonteVerde that much different from the rain forests in Costa Rica?

We only have 5 days in Costa Rica.  Manuel Antonio is #1 on the list, but would it be worth the time to go to MonteVerde?  Is the jungle there that much different from what we would find around Manuel Antonio?  Are there any Hanging Bridge hikes (no zip line) around Manuel Antonio Besides Rainmaker, and is Rainmaker any good? Is Carara National Park worth a visit?
