Hi, we plan on a two week trip with our 3 teenage girls and figured out the following itinerary based on your website: Fly Into Liberia – La Fortuna – Puerto Viejo de Talamanca (Caribbean coast) – Dominical  – Manuel Antonio and fly out of San José.
Do you have a suggestion for something exciting as a one night stopover on our way to Dominical? We want to take the Route 235 and 618 to change a bit. Is that a good road?
Thanks so much !

Hi Claudia,
That route is definitely possible in two weeks. You could consider stopping for a night somewhere around the central valley like Atenas, which has a local feel and a great coffee tour. Then it would be an easy drive to Manuel Antonio the next day. Those routes you mentioned are a couple of the main roads going into Quepos and Manuel Antonio and yes, they are in good paved condition. 618 is steep and curvy in places with a fair amount of traffic so some people don’t like it. But this is the main road through Manuel Antonio so it’s pretty much unavoidable if you visit that area.
