Drive from SJO to La Fortuna before dark?

Our flight lands at SJO AT 12:40 PM. We are renting a car from Adobe.  Would we have time to drive to Fortuna before dark?

Hi svetter, 
You should be able to get to La Fortuna before dark without a problem. Count on about 45 minutes to 1 hour to get out of the airport (immigration/baggage) and another 20-30 minutes to get all the car paperwork done at Adobe. So that would make it a little after 2pm and it’s about a 2.5-3 hour drive. Sunset is just before 6 so you should be all set. Enjoy the trip!
