Hi Jenn and Matt!
I found your site last week and just love it. I just received your book Costa Rica Itineraries today from Amazon. I am in the very early stages of planning a trip for April or May next year, aside from Montezuma I don’t even know where else I want to visit yet!! I really want to look into getting some dental work there as I did some very preliminary research about it a couple of years ago. You seem so knowledgeable I thought you might have suggestions as to the best places to start my new search. Thank you so much for all the info here, can’t wait to read the book.

Hi illusions229,
Thanks a lot for buying our book, we hope it helps you plan! Getting some dental work done here is a great idea. It is so affordable. We use a dentist near San Isidro de El General (about an hour drive from Dominical) and we love her. She speaks great English and a cleaning or regular filling is just $40. I think she said a crown is around $300-$350! That is with absolutely no insurance. We found her through a friend who also lives here but you could probably talk to some of the expats living in the areas you are going to find out who they use. Maybe post in local Facebook groups. Many towns in Costa Rica have them and they are very active with lots of helpful people. There are a lot of options in San Jose too. And if you will be in the Dominical/San Isidro area, of course we are happy to pass on the name of our dentist too. Hope this was helpful, good luck.
