My husband, two sons (13 and 9) and I are going to Costa Rica next month. We are very excited! I understand that Spring break is a high travel season so I was wondering if I should book my excursions before we go. However, I have looked at different websites and can\’t really pick which ones would be near our hotel. We won\’t have a car because we are using a transportation company to take us between resorts (Tamarindo first and then Arenal area). Is it ok to wait until we get to the hotel and talk to concierge or should I book them before we go? Thanks! Beth

Hi Beth,
We usually recommend booking tours that you are absolutely sure about in advance and leaving in some wiggle room to fill in once you get here. It’s especially good to book things that might become unavailable. For example, white water rafting tours might only be offered 1 or 2 times per day so the best companies can fill up.
