Enjoy door-to-door shuttle van service from La Pavona (Tortuguero Boat Dock) to your La Fortuna (Arenal) hotel or vacation rental. The ride is approximately 3.5 hours and up to 1 hour of additional time is included for stops to use the restroom, have a quick meal, pick up groceries, take pictures, etc.
*Public boats depart from Tortuguero six times a day (5:00 a.m., 7:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.). It is best to buy your tickets in advance (the day before) at the small office/window near the docks. The trip to La Pavona takes about 1.5 hours or sometimes longer, depending on water levels . Please schedule your shuttle accordingly.
*Public boat cost is not included and you must pay for it separately: ₡3,000 (around $6) per person, one way. Luggage goes in a separate boat, which follows along, and is paid for separately when you board. Each suitcase is ₡1000 (around $2) per bag.
