We don’t know of any rental car companies near the SJO airport that will be open until 1am. If you go to the individual company websites, they usually have their hours listed under a Locations tab. It looks like both Adobe and National are 5am-10pm and Alamo is 6am-11:30pm, to give you a few examples. So your best bet is probably to just get the car the next day- a lot of times they will deliver it to your hotel if you’re staying near the airport so be sure to ask.
