Experience Costa Rica’s most thrilling zipline tour with spectacular Arenal Volcano views!

Sky Adventures is located about 30 minutes from downtown La Fortuna and is one of the best zipline facilities in the Arenal area. Founded over 20 years ago by a Costa Rican family, the park offers ziplining with views of Arenal Volcano, hanging bridges through the rainforest canopy, and an aerial tram. Their zipline tour uses a unique hands-free pulley system and automatic braking, making it safe and comfortable for all ages.
The zipline tour is the highest-adrenaline option in La Fortuna, with 7 cables reaching over 2,460 feet (750 meters) long and speeds up to 43 mph (69 kph)!
The park’s private reserve that you can explore via hanging bridges is home to an abundance of wildlife. 359 bird species, 33 mammal species, and 41 reptile and amphibian species have been spotted.

Save $9-12 per person on zipline packages and $6-8 per person on the tram-hanging bridges combo when booking through Two Weeks in Costa Rica. These savings are automatically applied when you book through our site. Learn more about our travel agency.
We have visited Sky Adventures several times ourselves and almost always recommend it to clients and readers. What makes it unique is that you can do several activities in one day, which is perfect for those who only have a limited amount of time in La Fortuna.
Sky Adventures is also great for families or groups with some people who only want to do certain activities. We often set up tours for people who all do the hanging bridges and/or tram together, but one or two participants sit out the zip lining part because it’s not for them. Those who are waiting can enjoy nature on the grounds, grab a bite to eat, browse the gift shop, or find a comfortable chair to relax until the rest of the group finishes up.

Our guide for the hanging bridges, Maria, was knowledgeable and patient with the kids. We saw tons of animals. My older son and I did the ziplining and had a blast – the whole team was super friendly and professional. Will recommend to friends / family visiting La Fortuna in the future, and we’re already talking about a return trip!

This was my favorite adventure of our whole trip. The zip lining was amazing, and the staff were so friendly and encouraging for those of us who were a little nervous :). The hanging bridges hike was beautiful, and the guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Loved that they provided free lockers and they had a nice onsite restaurant so we could have a small meal between activities. One note, the description said the hike was first but when we arrived, we had to do the zip lining first. So just be prepared that the order of activities could be switched!

This was my daughters favorite tour while in Costa Rica! We were picked up directly at our hotel and taken to the adventure of a life time. One of the scariest most exciting things we did! The staff were exceptional and always made you feel safe!

We had an amazing morning at SkyAdventures. It is incredible to zipline over the trees with a view of Arenal and the lake. The whole operation is top notch and very safe. We also did the hanging bridges guided tour and it was totally worthwhile. There is a nice cafe for grabbing lunch after all the adventures. Booking through Two Weeks in Costa Rica was easy and helpful.

Unlike many zipline tours in Costa Rica, Sky Adventures uses a hands-free pulley system. You hold a pulley instead of wearing a special glove and touching the cable. They use automatic braking with main and backup systems (no manual braking).
Children under 10 may zipline alone if the lead guide approves based on weight and weather conditions. Otherwise, they’ll ride tandem with a guide.
No problem! We have arranged tours for people where only part of the group ziplines and the rest joins them for the hanging bridges or tram ride. Just make your booking requests separately through our website and note that you’re traveling together. We’ll let the tour company know and make one reservation for your whole group.
Yes, Sky Adventures is one of the best options for people with limited mobility who are looking to explore Costa Rica’s rainforests. Both the aerial tram and zipline tour are wheelchair accessible with assistance. Each case is assessed individually for safety. Staff receive annual training in customer service for people with disabilities.
Both facilities have sturdy, metal suspension bridges that don’t sway too much. The hanging bridges hike at Sky is a little more rustic than at Mistico Hanging Bridges. The path at Mistico is concrete, whereas Sky Adventures has a dirt path between the suspension bridges. Both facilities have thick, lush rainforest and lovely volcano views. For more information, read our post comparing hanging bridges in Costa Rica.
Free lockers are available to store bags, phones, cameras, and other items.
Yes. Add a set lunch for $20 per person on arrival or order from the restaurant menu. The restaurant serves typical Costa Rican dishes and has amazing volcano and lake views.
Round-trip transportation from La Fortuna hotels costs $22 per person plus taxes. One-way is $15 per person. Free parking is available if you drive.
The private reserve has 359 bird species (toucans, parrots, motmots, hummingbirds), 33 mammal species (monkeys, sloths, coatis, 9 bat species), and 41 reptile and amphibian species. Add a naturalist guide to your hanging bridges walk ($5 pp) to increase your chances of spotting wildlife.
The zipline tour requires moderate fitness, but there’s no walking between platforms. The hanging bridges are easy to moderate in difficulty. Between the suspension bridges you’ll walk along a well-maintained dirt trail with some inclines. The aerial tram is good for anyone, including people with limited mobility.
Yes, you can add a certified naturalist guide for $5 per person. When reserving through our site, just use the add-a-guide button when selecting the number of people.
Guides are not absolutely necessary if your main goal is to just appreciate the beauty of the rainforest and enjoy nice views. A guide is there to help you spot animals and birds.
Closed-toe shoes (sneakers or hiking shoes), lightweight clothing, sunscreen, insect repellent, and straps for prescription glasses. We prefer wearing pants to zipline, but shorts are fine too if you’re more comfortable. Be sure to bring a lightweight raincoat or poncho in case of rain. Sky Adventures provides all zipline safety equipment.
GoPros are available to rent for $40. If you have your own GoPro, you can bring it. They have mounts for the helmets. A professional photographer will also take photos during your tour, which you can review and purchase after for $25 per person. Personal cameras and phones should be stored in the free lockers for safety.
You will receive full refund minus a small fee as long as you cancel with at least 48 hours’ notice. Details will be on your order confirmation. Learn more about our booking policies.
Book at least two weeks before your trip, especially during high season (December-April). Sky Adventures is popular and can sell out. If you’re visiting over Christmas/New Years, we recommend booking at least a month in advance. Note that as a travel agency, we can often get people reservations even when the calendar shows full on the Sky Adventures’ website.
Yes. Sky Adventures is certified for sustainable tourism in Costa Rica and carbon neutral. They work with local environmental organizations like the Tropical Science Center to monitor and inventory biodiversity in their reserve. According to their 2024 sustainability report, they participate in reforestation projects, recycle (over 7 tons of materials last year), and invest in renewable energy.
