Zipline-Hanging Bridges Combo at Sky Adventures Arenal Park
A great way to fit in both hanging bridges and ziplining is a combo tour.
Sky Adventures has the best facility in the area. Their combo tour starts with a hike (about 4 km/2.5 miles) with a naturalist guide. Along the way, you cross 5 hanging bridges. This hike is unique because it isn’t all about the bridges. A lot of the time is spent walking through the primary rainforest with the help of a guide in search of birds and animals. On our visits, we have seen sloths, eyelash pit viper snakes, coatis (a raccoon-like animal), monkeys, and toucans.
After the hanging bridge walk and a short break, you get fitted with safety equipment and start the zipline portion. The ziplines are extremely elaborate compared to some of the other companies and their guides are really fun and safe. This portion of the tour lasts about 2.5 hours. It starts with a gondola ride up and then brings you back down on 7 different cables. Each one is a different length and there are two very long ones. The longest reaches over 750 meters (2,460 feet!)
This is a high-adrenalin tour. The zip lines are very high up and fast, giving you amazing rainforest, volcano, and lake views.
This zipline tour is great for children because they don’t need to touch the cable. They can easily hold the metal pulley.
