Tram Tour at Sky Adventures Arenal
This scenic tram ride is a low-key way to take in Arenal’s lush rainforest scenery and get views of the volcano.
What to Expect
The open gondola will take you above the tree line to the highest point on the property. A naturalist guide will join you, teaching you about the rainforest ecosystem and local flora and fauna.
Once the gondola reaches the top, you will arrive at a wide observation platform. The giant “Hand of Arenal” sculpture is a great spot for photos. It looks out to the lush rainforest and Lake Arenal. You can also explore the short 800 meter/0.5 mile trail through the jungle.
After enjoying some time at the top, you’ll head back down to the main reception. The total ride is about 30 minutes.
Each gondola can hold 6 people + the guide. Bathrooms are available at the top.

This tour is fully accessible and can accommodate wheelchairs.

Cost of Tram Tour (2026): $51 per person adults; $43 per person students up to age 25 (ID required); $36 per person children ages 5-12. Rates plus 13% tax. Children under 5 are free.
Peak Season (Christmas/New Years: December 16, 2026-January 5, 2027; Easter: March 21-28, 2027): Add $10 per person
Offered: 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m.
