Planet Dolphin Catamaran Tour
If you’re looking for a fun catamaran tour during your time in the Playa Flamingo/Tamarindo/Conchal area, Planet Dolphin is a great option.
The tour starts at Marina Flamingo. After boarding the 70 foot Tom Cat, you’ll head up the beautiful Guanacaste coastline to a calm cove about 45 minutes away.
Here, you’ll anchor and have some time to swim and snorkel in the warm, tropical water. Those up for some adventure can try the super fun waterslide on the back. Or just relax on one of the four sunning trampolines on the front of the boat.
The crew will prepare a delicious meal of grilled fish or chicken skewers with veggies, pasta salad, and fresh fruit. Water, soft drinks, beer, and house cocktails are also included.
The vibe is fun and lively, with music playing.
Planet Dolphin’s catamaran is wide and very sturdy so a great option if you’re prone to getting seasick. There’s lots of shade and seating and the railings have netting, which makes it a good option with young kids as well.
The boat is fully equipped with bathrooms on board.
Although not completely handicap accessible, the boat’s loading area is mostly flat and easy to get on.

Cost (2026):Â $99/adult; $70/child ages 5-9; $10/child under 5. Rates include tax.
Offered: 2:00-6:00 p.m. for sunset
*In September and October, they offer only a morning tour from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. due to the likelihood of rain in the afternoon.
Includes: Lunch or dinner, open bar (drink choices – pina colada, mango jalapeno, fruit punch, or tropical passion), beer, water, juice, life jackets, and use of snorkel equipment.
