Baldi Hot Springs Day Pass with Lunch or Dinner
Baldi Hot Springs is a larger family-oriented resort. It has several spacious hot spring pools spread out along the large property. For families, it’s one of the only hot springs in La Fortuna with a dedicated kids’ area. Baldi Kids has a water play structure with smaller slides that are good for younger kids. There are also some big (and fast!) waterslides for older kids and adventurous adults.
The 25 thermal pools are all different sizes and temperatures, some with small waterfalls and lights in them.
Baldi has a few swim up bars and a restaurant with a lunch/dinner buffet. Please note that Baldi currently does not have a liquor license so alcoholic beverages cannot be purchased.
Day passes are available with or without a meal. To purchase entrance only, click here.

Baldi felt a little too touristy for our group but we had a blast. The water slides were the best.

It was nice to have a chill afternoon/evening to relax on this adventurous trip. My teenagers loved it. (Be ware of the “Extreme” slide! people often came out looking pretty bashed.)

This place is HUGE!!! We went in the evening, around 6 pm, and had a dinner reservation for the buffet for 7 pm. They told us we could go ahead and go for dinner when we arrived, and we didn’t have to wait until 7, which was appreciated, because you’re required to be dressed at the restaurant (no bathing suits). Unfortunately, I can’t recommend the buffet. I would say, if you want to eat at the hot springs, skip adding the meal to the tour, and eat at the a-la-carte restaurants on site instead. I saw a few people eating a-la-carte, and the food looked well-presented, fresh, and delicious. The buffet food was cold, even though we were there at the peak time, and flavourless. There also weren’t many food options. This was the worst food experience we had in Costa Rica by far.
Other than the sub-par food, we had a great time at the Hot Springs. I was glad that we waited until the evening when the weather was cooler to go, although they do have multiple pools that are cooler, they are small, and I can imagine would be crowded during the day. It wasn’t crowded at all when we went, and we had several pools all to ourselves throughout the evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the facilities were very clean. We explored the pools for 3 hours, and I still don’t think we made it to all of them.
The waterslides were closed by the time we got there, which wasn’t communicated in advance, and was a minor disappointment, but we still had an amazing time, and would definitely not hesitate to go back again!!

We have a great day with our family (2 adults, kids aged 4 and nearly 2) – the whole place was a hit, not just the kids area.
