Hi Matt and Jenn! Thank you so much for all the tips and informations you are giving, i’m an avid reader of your blog since it’s official that we come to Costa Rica this february! Seb and i will definitely try the Clos, but i wonder if there is any sparkling wine in Costa Rica. It’s a kind of tradition for us to drink some when traveling, and we’d love to have a nice festive bottle for Valentines day in Tortuguero! Do i have to bring my celebration drinks from home in my check-in luggage, or maybe buy it at the duty free upon arrival at San José airport? Thank you!

Love this question! Yes, they do sell sparkling wine here, but it will be tough to get in Tortuguero. Duty free at the airport might be your best option. If the first one is really busy, keep walking to the next one. Nobody knows it is there and it’s even bigger. Cheers!
