Which areas did you encounter the friendliest people?

The people of Costa Rica are really amazing, we have run into such nice people all over the country. From people stopping to help us with directions in San Jose, to being invited over for dinner to a complete strangers house in the jungle just because we were neighbors. Of course, just like anywhere, there are lots that aren’t so friendly but overall the Ticos are very kind hearted people. Probably the two areas with the most friendly people in our experience though would be the Tilaran area, on the western side of Lake Arenal and the Southern Zone, around San Isidro de El General and down the Southern Pacific Coast. Of course nobody is as friendly as a Red Sox fan is after beating the Yankees 😉
